First Baptist Church of Louisa is a family of believers seeking to glorify God by worshiping Him, growing in faith, and sharing the love of Jesus Christ. For generations, God has been faithful to this church, and we continue to trust Him as we follow His leading together.

Who We Are
First Baptist Louisa is a Baptist church with a heart for people and a commitment to God’s truth.
We believe the church is called to be a place where the Gospel is clearly proclaimed, believers are encouraged to grow, and relationships are built in love. Our desire is to walk together in faith—supporting one another through every season of life.

What We Believe
Our faith is rooted in the unchanging truths of Scripture and lived out in everyday life.
- Jesus Christ is the center of all we do. We believe salvation comes through faith in Him alone (John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8–9).
- The Bible is God’s Word and our authority. It teaches us how to live, love, and grow in faith (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
- The church is God’s people gathered for His purposes. We come together for worship, fellowship, and service (Acts 2:42).
- Every believer is called to grow and serve. God equips His people to build up the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11–13).
- We are called to share the Gospel. Locally and around the world, we seek to obey Christ’s command to make disciples (Matthew 28:19–20).
Our Church Partners
We are grateful to partner with other churches and ministries as we work together to share the Gospel and strengthen churches.
First Baptist Church of Louisa is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, Kentucky Baptist Convention and the Greenup Baptist Association. Through these partnerships, we join with churches across our state and region to support missions, ministry training, and outreach efforts that extend beyond our local community.
These affiliations help us stay connected, accountable, and mission-focused as we serve the Lord together.
Our Story
First Baptist Church of Louisa was established in 1874 by believers who desired to worship God faithfully and share the Gospel in their community.
Over the years, as the church family grew, new spaces were needed to support worship, teaching, and fellowship. Each season brought opportunities to expand ministry and care for people in meaningful ways.
Through every change, God has remained faithful. The mission of First Baptist Louisa has stayed the same: to glorify God, teach His Word, and make disciples who live out their faith.

Life Together as a Church Family
Life at First Baptist Louisa goes beyond Sunday mornings. It’s found in prayer, Bible study, serving others, and walking together through life’s joys and challenges.
We are thankful for the place God has given us to gather, and even more thankful for the people who make up this church family. Our prayer is that everything we do reflects the love of Christ and strengthens one another in faith.
